One year on and this nightmare is far from over. The people of Palestine are facing the horrors that defy all human rights and norms of the modern world. Around 50,000 innocent Palestinians have been killed, more than 16,000 of these are children. Thousands are missing and fighting for their lives under the rubble. What we are watching on ground is not a war but a massacre that would haunt the generations to come. We at United Muslims call for cease fire and condemn the sale of arms and weapons to Israel.
The recent escalations and Israeli airstrikes on the safe places for displaced Palestinians have left thousands of Palestinians injured, many of these injuries are life changing. Women and children are at the heart of these attacks. Your donations are a lifeline for the survivors of these ongoing horrors, each penny donated towards our Palestine Relief Fund is helping us bring food, shelter, medical supplies and clean water for Palestinians.
Along with our local and on-ground partners, we are responding to the growing needs of humanitarian assistance in Gaza, West Bank and Lebanon. Your ongoing support is helping us continue the work however, it is not enough. We as a Muslim Ummah are being tested for our Iman with bloodshed, hunger and loss of our loved ones in the holy lands of Palestine. This is a wake-up call for the Muslim Ummah around the world to realize that we are indeed one body, and we feel the pain as our brothers and sisters suffer on the rough grounds of Palestine.
The people of Gaza embody strong imaan and love for their holy land. Despite the devastation and ongoing conflicts, they stand strong and anchored. The leaders of the world and custodians of human rights have all let down the people of Palestine, but they remain true to their faith. As Muslims, they fear nothing but Allah, they believe in his unwavering support and love.
Currently in Gaza, West Bank and Lebanon, the population is engaged in a continuous struggle to survive the injustice they are facing from the world. Their resilience against the oppressors will mark a significant period in the history of this world. The demonstration of their patience and strong belief in Allah has turned the hearts of many non-believers. Amid continuous bloodshed, hunger, thirst and fear for the loved ones, the people of Palestine have shown the world that they will not give up on their homeland and imaan.
While our brothers and sisters face the horrors of war, we as Muslim Ummah should never forget that we are all being tested by Allah Almighty hence, it is essential to reinforce our collective resolve by understanding the narrative of Palestine and supporting its cause in every possible manner.
