What Is an Aqiqah Donation?

An Aqiqah donation is a Sunnah act in Islam performed to give thanks to Allah for the birth of a child. It involves the sacrifice of livestock on behalf of a newborn, with the meat distributed among family, friends, and those in need.

The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) encouraged performing Aqiqah on the seventh day after birth by sacrificing two animals for a baby boy and one animal for a baby girl. If it cannot be done on the seventh day, the Aqiqah donation may be made at a later time.

By making an Aqiqah donation through United Muslims, you fulfil this blessed Sunnah while providing fresh, halal meat to vulnerable families around the world.

Why Make an Aqiqah Donation Through United Muslims?

When you make an Aqiqah donation through United Muslims, you ensure this important Sunnah is fulfilled with integrity and compassion. We make it easy to donate Aqiqah online, while ensuring the sacrifice is performed responsibly on your behalf.

All animals are healthy and sacrificed according to halal guidelines. The fresh meat is then distributed to vulnerable communities, including families living in poverty, orphanages, and madrassas.

By choosing United Muslims, you are not only celebrating the birth of your child but also extending that joy to the wider Muslim Ummah. With our 100% donation policy, every contribution is used directly for sacrifice and distribution, creating a meaningful and lasting impact.

Every child is mortgaged by its Aqiqah, which is slaughtered for it on its seventh day, and it is named on it, and its head is shaved

How United Muslims is taking care of your Aqiqah donations

Sacrificing Animals

Adhering to the Islamic principles, we perform the sacrifice of animals in the local communities closer to the underprivileged families. Through our online Aqiqah donation system, you can contribute to the sacrifice of one goat for a baby girl and two goats for a baby boy. Since the preferred timing for performing an Aqiqah is within the first seven days of the birth of a newborn, we try to use the Aqiqah donations within this timeline. We also make sure to inform our donors once the sacrifice has been performed and the meat has been distributed.

The essence of Aqiqah celebrations lies in sharing the blessing of Allah with other Muslim brothers and sisters. The Aqiqah donations are used to distribute fresh, raw meat as soon as the animals have been sacrificed. The distribution of meat is mainly carried out in regions stricken by poverty, conflict, or natural disasters to make sure that those underprivileged families partake in the blessings of Aqiqah celebrations of our donors.

At United Muslims, we offer our commitment to conduct the Aqiqah and distribute meat within the first seven days of receiving your Aqiqah donation. We aim to be a bridge between your act of faith and the needs of the less fortunate Muslim brothers and sisters.

Using local resources and the team, the distribution of meat is focused on the most impoverished communities. We focus on orphanages, madrassas and needy families where meat is a rare luxury. The collective preparation and distribution of nutritious meals bring immense relief to families, orphans and widows. They enjoy the food and join in prayers for your child’s wellbeing.

Through our online Aqiqah donations, the Sunnah of shaving the newborn’s head can be performed easily. Using our donation form, you can contribute for a baby’s shaved hair in addition to the sacrifice of the animals. The hair of a newborn weighs around 12 grams, and at today’s silver rate, it amounts to £10 per baby.

Most of our donors give extra goats so more people can share in the joy of their newborn’s celebration. We sacrifice these animals along with the Aqiqah animals and distribute the meat to a greater number of people. This extra distribution is treated as Sadaqah and helps us feed even more families.
